Meet Jordyn
Jordyn Jasper
Jordyn Jasper: Artist and Writer, Student of life, nature and the paintbrush
Jordyn was born into a Hutterite colony in Manitoba, when he developed a deep connection to community, food, nature and food sources- an experience that profoundly influenced who he is today. Throughout his life, Jordyn used art to capture the fleeting moments of life and the beauty of nature, which he continues today. Since transplanting to Calgary and experiencing more of life, his art has evolved from strict realism to more layered, colourful pieces that are both simple and complex, reflecting the different worlds he’s inhabited. His primary mediums are acrylic, watercolour and pencil on paper.
In his quest for wisdom, he's found the answers are quite simple, but the mystery and questions grow as we add complexities. Through the creation of his art, he aims to unravel the layers and use colours, symbols and images to lay it out, so each person can see and understand for themself. For a better, connected, rich life for all of us - the beings of the earth - it starts with a vision. Let us love, eat, create and feel, abundantly.
In addition to creating art, Jordyn sources great joy from regenerative gardening, community building, the great outdoors, and being around animals. Forever curious, he loves reading and learning more about various topics of interests, meeting new people, and connecting with the beings who cross his path.
